Is the conversion water proof?

No, the unit itself is not. It must be protected from water and dust like any other router or other electrical device.

What is the WiFi range?

The same as a normal travel router.

Why won't it connect?

You MUST follow the instruction card. There are only 10 lines on the instruction card. Read it and follow the instructions in order and it will connect.

Do I need to extend the antennas on the router?

Yes. The 3" folding antennas on the side of the router must be up to allow the router to cool. Pretend the router is like any other router, because it is.
